Comments:

This is not a 'normal' Eurythmics album like 'Touch' or Sweet Dreams before it, but rather intended as a soundtrack to the movie '1984' based on George Orwell's chilling futuristic book. Unfortunately, not many of the songs were actually used in the film, but the cold and spooky atmosphere of '1984' can be sensed in all the tracks. It's all synthetic and making good use of the cold feel one could create with such machinery, mixing natural voices with vocoded to mechanical beats. There are't too many actual songs on the album, only four or so. The rest are more or less instrumental, creating moods and scenes.
