If Noise Unit morphed into a dumping
ground for unused Front Line Assembly
tracks when FLA was Leeb/Fulber, then perhaps Pro-Tech is the equivalent when FLA
is Leeb/Peterson. This album does bear a certain resemblance to
FLAvour Of The Weak, but to my ears
this one is more interesting. It's all instrumental, which enhances the feeling
that it's really just the new Noise Unit album, and quite frankly it's rather good
to be relieved of Bill's un-excellent lyrics. It's techno, all the way through, no
'industrial' twists or turns. I like it. Well, perhaps I miss Rhys Fulbers
chords, but this is still very much one of those good FLA side projects to consider.
